Rehabilitation guidelines for the worlds first tendon regeneration technique Ortho-ATI™
What is Ortho-ATI™
Orthocell’s Autologous Tenocyte Implantation (Ortho-ATI™) uses advances cell therapy techniques to regenerate damaged tendons by taking your own tenocyte (tendon building cells) and multiplying them in the lab. The tenocyte cells are then injected around the injured tendon where they go about restoring health tendon tissue.
Ortho-ATI™ is indicated for use with damaged or degenerate tendons that are resistant to current and traditional therapies. Such treatments do not adequately address the depletion of tenocytes associated with tendinopathy and thus have limited success.
Hollywood Functional Rehabilitation Clinic in conjunction with Orthocell have developed patient rehabilitation guidelines following Ortho-ATI™ for the Achilles, Hamstring, Gluteal and Rotator cuff tendinopathy and lateral epicondylitis. Access the general guidelines below, or contact our expert team individualised rehabilitation program.
Gluteal tendinopathy is characterised by pain or discomfort on the outside of the hip. We have developed general recommendations to assist in the management of Gluteal tendinopathy following Ortho-ATI injection which is free and can be downloaded below. For an comprehensive individualised rehabilitation program, please contact us and one of our tendonopathy experts will design and guide you through a program to ensure you get the best outcome.
Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow)
Lateral Epicondylitis, more commonly know as Tennis below is tendonopathy at the elbow, where the wrist and finger extensor muscles originate from. Treatment with Ortho-ATI is now available for chronic tennis elbow that has not responded to traditional therapies. For an comprehensive individualised rehabilitation program, please contact us and one of our tendonopathy experts will design and guide you through a program to ensure you get the best outcome.
Achilles tendinopathy is a common condition that causes pain, swelling, stiffness and weakness of the Achilles tendon. When conservative treatment has failed, Ortho-ATI can be successful in regenerating and repairing the tendon. The key to a successful outcome is rehabilitation. For an comprehensive individualised rehabilitation program, please contact us and one of our tendonopathy experts will design and guide you through a program to ensure you get the best outcome.
Rotator cuff tendinopathy is damage to one or more of the tendons that stabilise the shoulder joint. Its a common condition that eventually leads to tearing of the tendon. Ortho-ATI can now used to manage rotator cuff tendinopathy and repair the damaged tissue. As with many musculoskeletal issues, the biomechanics of the joint also need rehabilitation to ensure you get a good result from the Ortho-ATI injection, but also prevent occurrence.
