Lymphoedema involves tissue swelling (oedema) from insufficient lymph vessels (primary lymphoedema) or when the lymphatic system has been affected by injury, trauma, surgery, infection or radiotherapy (secondary lymphoedema). The swelling maybe in any part of the body but more commonly in the legs or arms.

Services include:
Initial and ongoing assessment – includes measurement and review of swelling and associated conditions.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage - A specialised light stroking massage technique to assist lymphatic drainage and improve the lymphatic flow.
Compression Bandaging and Garments - Prescription and fitting of Custom-made and/or Ready-to-wear garments
Musculo-skeletal Physiotherapy – Manual and electrotherapy Therapy, such as therapeutic ultrasound, where clinically indicated
Exercise Prescription - to facilitate movement of lymph. On-site rehabilitation gym and hydrotherapy facilities available in addition to development of home exercise programs
Education and Self Management - including advice on self-massage, range of movement exercises, skin care, scar care, elevated positioning, undergarment/clothing or footwear and return to work/activity.
Referral to on-site Exercise Physiologist and Nutritionist are available or other services, if required.
