Elli began work at HFRC in 2013, after several practicum placements that had inspired her to strive to improve the lives of others who had been in pain for long periods of time. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology in 2013 and continued working at the clinic once she became an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. In 2014 she returned to Murdoch University to complete her Honours thesis and enjoyed seeing the other side of research. “I was really driven by the knowledge and intelligence of my lecturers at Murdoch University to complete further study; it was their passion for education that really pushed me to achieve my best in my final year”.
Growing up playing competitive and social sports most likely influenced Elli in her chosen career. She is a graduate who thrives on learning from those around her. Elli loves getting to know people from all walks of life, she has a warm and welcoming nature and aims to improve the quality of life of everyone who walks into the clinic.
“The most important part of my job is to make patients feel welcome and as though they belong at HFRC. HFRC is not just a regular gym – it is a place where we as a group of caring people, dedicate our time to improving the health of each and every person that walks through our doors. Working amongst some of the best therapists in WA has really opened my eyes to what I can achieve as a university graduate and I am very privileged to be in my current position at such an early stage in my career”.
