Joint Replacement

Joint replacement is an effective intervention for people with severe Osteoarthritis (OA) who have been unresponsive to conservative therapy.

Evidence has shown beneficial outcomes for people who have undergone individualised pre-operative exercise and post operative exercise rehabilitation.

Treatment Options

Individually tailored pre-operative rehabilitation programs are effective in reducing hospital stay for arthroplasty patients.1

Post-operative physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs will improve your post surgery recovery time and assist in achieving optimal benefit from your surgery.

Specific strengthening and gait retraining to ensure you recovery fully, without an ongoing limp.

The arthritis management program is effective at improving osteoarthritic symptoms and may defer or decrease the need for an arthroplasty.

Pre-operative (pre-habilitation)

An individually tailored preoperative and postoperative physical therapy program will accelerate your recovery from arthroplasty surgery.

HFRC provides evidence based multidisciplinary individualised  programs managed by Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists and Remedial Massage Therapists.

Post-Operative rehabilitation

A post operative physical therapy programme will ensure the optimal benefit from surgery is achieved.

We specialise in joint replacement rehabilitation. Our individualised multidisciplinary post operative rehabilitation programme is based only on evidence based research.

Arthritis Management

The Arthritis Management program provided by HFRC is aimed at providing improved joint mobility and function, symptom relief, and improved quality of life.
