In this free online seminar Jordan Spence, Exercise Physiologist at HFRC, will explore the benefits of exercise on a range of neurological conditions. 

 

There have been numerous studies of exercise and its benefits in the prevention and management of neurological diseases. Appropriately tailored programs can help reduce risk, manage symptoms and improve function for individuals living with a neurological condition. This seminar will outline some research, special considerations and exercise modalities for a variety of different conditions.

In this free online seminar Deb Cooper, Exercise Physiologist at HFRC, will explore the benefits of exercise during treatment for cancer. 

 

Cancer is the leading cause of death in Australia. Almost 150,000 new cases of cancer were diagnosed in 2020  with nearly 50,000 deaths. Research has consistently demonstrated that exercise is an important adjunct therapy in the management and prevention of cancer and is a safe and effective strategy to counteract the many negative physical and psychological effects of cancer and its treatment.
